GN (Grafton WV) Interlocking Tower - N Scale

This is a kit for GN Tower, East of Grafton WV.   It is roughly based on the "standard" 15' x 18' B&O interlocking tower design from 1906.   It was built on a slope which results in a basement and will need to be a consideration when placed on a layout.

  • 2 versions of tower walls with the windows and doors included.   Version 1 features regular windows, while version 2 has the windows boarded up.
  • Roof as a single part
  • The stairway to the upper door is printed as 2 pieces.
  • Wooden platform with stairs to the basement.
  • Doors.
  • Floor
  • A set of interlocking levers.
  • Privy

Suggested Floquil colors for post 1946 era are:

Engine Black
Weathered Black (trim)
Aged Concrete (foundation)
Antique White (ceiling)
Depot Buff (exterior walls)
Freight Car Red (chimney)
CN Gray (interior walls)

Special thanks to Bruce Elliot / Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Historical Society for the suggested colors and photos.

Model photos are of a completed HO scale kit. This is an unassembled kit with parts fabricated with 3D printing. Adhesive, paint, signs, figures, window "glass" and other scenery are not included.  Some sanding or filing of parts may be required to remove "support" nubs leftover from the 3D printing process.
