Marion Union Depot - HO Scale

** This kit will not start shipping until November 2026  **

Marion Union Depot opened in 1902 to serve the Hocking Valley, Erie, Big Four (NYC) and Pennsylvania Railroads.  Up to 38 passenger trains per day stopped at the depot when it first opened.   Within five years it was already apparent an expansion was required, which did not materialize until 1917.  Our model represents the depot as it existed from the 1917 until about the 1950's.   We do not know when the Conosera roof tile was replaced with asphalt shingles.

We rate the difficulty of assembling this kit as a 3 out 5.   The main roof is printed in two pieces and it is critical to carefully sand the pieces for a good fit.   The model itself is large and may be unwieldy to assemble.  The window mullions are thin and may break.  (Extra windows and doors are included.)

The walls for the main part of the building are printed as three pieces with pins and holes to locate the pieces together.

Overall size of the model is  approximately 15" x 15.5".

We assembled our model using Bob Smith gap filling ACC, Testor's clear canopy cement and two part 15 minute epoxy.  The model was painted by airbrush and standard brushes with Tamiya paints.

Model photos are of a completed HO scale kit.   This is an unassembled kit with parts fabricated with 3D printing. Parts included are: roof, walls, windows and doors.   Adhesive, paint, signs, figures, window "glass" and other scenery are not included.
